quick oil sketch to de-stress (distress? I’m extremely distressed) from our lovely soul sucking exam week. Just finished listening to Neil Gaiman reading the Graveyard Book almost in the flesh on the internet (check it out if you haven’t already) He’s got a perfect story-telling sort of voice. I really liked the idea of The Lady on the Grey from the telling and ended up with this. Now only to make it slightly greyer and put in some sort of extravagant gown once the paint firms up a bit. I’m feeling slightly partial to McQueen.
